PIP Challenge 2533

Another great challenge over at PIP Challenges
with our lovely sponsor
Varada Sharma
VS has such beautiful images and stamps!
It's awesome that she is kind enough to sponsor
PIP Challenges! Please be sure to visit her site
or find her actual stamps at RubberStamps.com!!

Here's my card for this week
using "Easy Layering Florals 1" (sentiment)
I sure had a lot of anniversaries in the
summer and this is a biggie for a couple
of friends, Nancy and Mark, and we get to
celebrate with them next weekend. In fact,
Mark's birthday is on MY anniversary,
Aug. 19 (53 years). Busy month!
For this card I used some images I had
already stamped and cut out from
Varada. I colored the images with my
Copics to coordinate along side of the
background paper. The sentiment was
heat embossed in black on vellum and
attached with some mini black brads.
I used pop dots to raise up the main
leaf for dimension. The "5, 0" were
die cuts and added to the front.
For the inside I used a couple of scrap
strips from the front and added them
and an extra leaf to the inside. The
sentiment was from a random set on
hand. I like how it turned out and
with a couple of gift cards added to
the inside it should be a hit!

It's always fun getting to find new stuff
and a great sponsor as well! YAY!
Go shop at Sunbird Spark for some
awesome new stuff! I know I did! lol!
They've added plenty as well!
Here's my card for the challenge...
As always, I had fun "playing" with
my digis from Sunbird Spark. I have
some of their stamps too but this week
I opted for this fun digi set,
Cruising on the Ocean. What's really
nice is that it comes with Bonus images
all ready to be printed on an A2 size
card. I printed out the images and
colored them using Copics. For the
background I decided to play around
with my Pan Pastel Chalks. A wavy
stencil created the water looks. I used
a light hairspray to set the chalks.
When I finished coloring the images
I cut them out. A slit was cut below the
lighthouse so I could insert part of
the lighthouse. Mounting tape was
used to add the main sentiment, one
cloud and the boat and bear.
I added the long, wavy birthday sentiment
from a stamp set I had on hand.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see
your entries in the Current Challenge.

Here my card for this challenge...
As always, The Cutting Cafe is great for
stretching my creativity. All I needed
was a printer and some scissors to get
going. I used The Acorn Shaped Card and
this super fun card. I printed the design
onto pattern papers and cut everything out.
I used plain white cardstock for the base.
The bottom of the acorn I used an
embossing folder. (Probably should have
done it to the cap of the acorn instead,
but...oh well, LOL) I used a leaf diecut
I had for the green pattern paper. I
attached on to the front and one inside.
I printed the sentiments on cardstock
and attached them. Some coordinating
twine was used for the bow holding
the Happy Birthday sentiment.

Everything was cut out with scissors,
except the leaf. Goes to show you
don't need every tool available, although,
I love my tools. hehe. Thanks to

PIP Challenge 2530

A brand new challenge over at PIP Challenges.

This week's sponsor is
If you haven't checked out SheepSki Designs
new blog site, be sure to go now! It's really good!
Here's my card using Gnome Snowing
I've been doing more with digis lately.
SheepSki Designs has a lot to choose from.
Generally, I print them and cut them
out but sometimes it's easiest to just
find a great digital background, like I
did, and just take the PNG image and
place it where I want it. I printed the
sentiment and layered it on coordinating
cardstock and raised it up with mounting
tape. Copics were used to color my
little Gnome. Stickles were used to
highlight some of the snow elements.

Here's my quick and easy card...
I used a fantastic stand alone die from
This was simple and looks great.
I die cut each flower, one for the inside
and one for the cardfront. I used an old
GKD sentiment for the front. I added some
coordinating ribbon and inks to finish
the outside.
The other flower from the die cut set
was added to the inside with a random
sentiment I had on hand.
This will be a perfect card for a friend's
upcoming birthday! Be sure to see

PIP Challenge 2528

  Welcome!
Time to join in the challenge with
Polkadoodles as this week's sponsor!!
YAY!
We REALLY appreciate our sponsors!

Here are my first 2 cards.
Generally I prefer to color my own images
from Polkadoodles but I needed to make
some quick cards. And, quick they were.
Everything was digital and the colored
images were amazing. I added the flowers
and sentiment to the pretty digital pattern
image. An extra print was used to cutout
some of the flowers to layer on top with
mounting tape. I attached the cardfront
to a white cardstock and that was it.

The next cards were made the same way
but using different images etc.

Sadly, the color of the cards didn't
photograph as fabulously as they
turned out. I used Dahlia Flower 1,
It was so simple creating these lovely
cards and all I needed was a printer to
get such wonderful quality to work with.
All together I made 8 cards.
Such fun!!

Here's my Lawn Fawn creation
I had lots of fun creating this card for
LJ's 6th birthday. His theme is Mario so
I had to make something Mario. For the
front of the card I found the images and
birthday sentiment on the internet and
they were all pre-colored. Red cardstock was
used with a random "6" die I had on hand.
I raised the sentiment and 6 with pop dots.
I just got my order from Lawn Fawn that
contained the Mini Pop-up Box dies
and I had to give it a try right away.
LF always has excellent
tutorials to help us get started. I was
going to use LF's new Capybaras set
because LJ loves them but I decided to
stick with the Mario birthday
theme. Now for the inside surprise...
The die set is complete. It cut the box
and all the stars and streamers, plus
the Marios on the box too.

I die cut out the L and J in red. The
"Super Mario" on the box banner was
cut out from an internet picture. The
same picture from the from of the card
was printed twice and I hand cut them
out so I could add one to each side of
the inside. Holographic cardstock was
used for the stars and streamers. The
card does fold close. It's thick but works.

Be sure to check Lawn Fawn out now.
They have everything you could need
or want. See their NEW ARRIVALS.
